Overview
The iBurst™ service provides continuous,
high speed connectivity for the user to their corporate services
and/or the Internet. As long as the user stays within the coverage
area of the base station network they will be able to maintain
this connection in an always-on mode. This means they can use
the connection for business or leisure purposes wherever and
whenever they want. They no longer need to hold off activities
until they get to a location which provides connectivity (either
wired or wireless).
iBurst makes the use of online services much more spontaneous and wide-spread.
As the breadth of services available on the Internet expands to encompass all
aspects of life, many of these services only achieve their full potential when
they are available as soon as the need arises. An iBurst connected user can take
advantage of such services as soon as they become applicable, not have to wait
till they can get connected when the service may no longer be of value.
The access to all the available online information at any time also means that
the user no longer needs to plan ahead and guess at what information they may
need so that they can download it to local storage for later mobile use. Similarly,
data that is generated while mobile such as digital photographs can be transferred
immediately to the online environment for storage or for others to access as
soon as it is generated.
The end result is a user experience which is unique in the current day but must
inevitably become ubiquitous for the communications age to go to the next stage.
Once a user experiences the freedom that iBurst provides it is very hard for
them to go back to an existence where the online world is not always available
at their fingertips. |
